NCSE Executive Director Amanda L. Townley was the guest on a recent episode (March 31, 2025) of SciQuest, a weekly broadcast that bills itself as focused on "current topics and highlights in the myriad scientific fields … run down in a paradoxically convivial antagonistic manner."
Townley discussed with hosts John Hammel and Steve Candio her experience growing up in an evangelical household, her introduction to and embrace of evolution, the state of science education today, and the work of the National Center for Science Education.
"It is an honor to be able to talk to so many people about the important work of NCSE," Townley commented. "The more we are able to share what we do across mediums and platforms, the larger the reach and impact of the work. Our goal is that one day all students will be scientifically literate, and that begins with reaching people where they are!"
